Due to global pandemic, we had to move our Lhakar (White Wednesday) to Zoom. We meet every Wednesday night for two hours where we pray for the world and all the people affected by the virus.

Tibetan Language Class

Our children have been attending Tibetan Language Learning class every Thursday through Zoom call in order to keep improving their skills. Classes range from an hour to two where students participate in speaking, reading, and lectures that are specifically designed to develop their understanding of Tibetan language and culture

Tibetan Buddhism Class

We have Buddhism classes on Zoom where our children learn about the history and practice of Tibetan Buddhism and how we apply it in our everyday lives. The class focuses on introducing the practice of kindness towards every sentient being and the ability to understand different perspectives.

Tibetan Bazaar takes place once a year at the Ethical Humanist Society of Philadelphia where there are beautiful Tibetan textiles, jewelries, arts, handicraft items and many more. There will be delicious food sold as well! Make sure to come check it out!

Lhakar
Lhakar is a day that Tibetans and their families actively resist China's occupation by supporting Tibetan businesses, eating Tibetan food, wearing Tibetan clothes, speaking Tibetan language and celebrating Tibetan identity. Our event is held the last Wednesday of every month at the Unitarian Society of Germantown.
