Tibetan Buddhism Class

We have Buddhism classes on Zoom where our children learn about the history and practice of Tibetan Buddhism and how we apply it in our everyday lives. The class focuses on introducing the practice of kindness towards every sentient being and the ability to understand different perspectives.

Tibetan Language Class

Our children have been attending Tibetan Language Learning class every Tuesday through Zoom call in order keep improving their skills. Classes range from an hour to two where students participate in speaking, reading, and lectures that are specifically designed to develop their understanding of Tibetan language and culture.

Lhakar Online

Due to the global pandemic, we had to move our Lhakar (White Wednesday) to Zoom. We meet every Wednesday night for two hours where we pray for the world and all the people affected by the virus.
Tibetan Bazaar

The Tibetan Holiday Bazaar will be taking place Friday, November 29rd, 2019 from 10:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday, November 30th, 2019 from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm at the Ethical Humanist Society of Philadelphia.

There will be beautiful Tibetan textiles, jewelries, arts, handcrafted items and many more. Making sure to come check it out! There will be delicious Tibetan food sold as well!

Philadelphia's 76ers - Tibetan Dance Performance

Our Tibetan youth will be performing during 76ers game on Nov 30, 2019 at Wells Fargo Center. They will perform before the game at 6pm. Lhakar
Lhakar is a day that Tibetans and their families actively resist China’s occupation by supporting Tibetan businesses, eating Tibetan food, wearing Tibetan clothing, speaking Tibetan language and celebrating the Tibetan identity. Lhakar is about supporting Tibetan culture and engaging in civil resistance. Our event is held the last Wednesday of every month at the Unitarian Society of Germantown, 6511 Lincoln Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19119.

Join us for The Barnes Foundation Museum's free admission first Sunday event where they will showcase their new Renoir exhibition and have family activities and performances. TAP's Youth Group will be performing their Tibetan dance from 2:30pm - 3:00pm.
