Big Tibetan Language and Buddhism Class

Due to the pandemic, we have moved our Tibetan Language classes online. The students have been attending language class every Tuesday where they participate in reading, writing, and speaking the language. Also, they have been attending Buddhism class through Zoom which focuses on improving their understanding and application of Tibetan Buddhism everyday lives. Although we are restricted during these pressing times, we are doing everything we can to continue growth and development of our children.

Lhakar
Lhakar is a day that Tibetans and their families actively resist China’s occupation by supporting Tibetan businesses, eating Tibetan food, wearing Tibetan clothing, speaking Tibetan language and celebrating the Tibetan identity. Lhakar is about supporting Tibetan culture and engaging in civil resistance. Our event is held the last Wednesday of every month at the Unitarian Society of Germantown, 6511 Lincoln Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19119.
